Paraid Pregnancy Test Accuracy
According to MCURE, the distributor of the Para-Aid Pregnancy Test, the test is over 99% accurate in laboratory testing.
To put it differently, the Paraid Pregnancy Test is 99% accurate at detecting typical pregnancy hormone levels from the day of your expected period. Note that hormone levels may vary.
What is the Paraid Pregnancy Test?
the Para-Aid (Paraid) Pregnancy Testis a rapid chromatographic
immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) inurine samples to aid in the early detection of pregnancy by both professional and home users.
How does the Paraid Pregnancy Test work?
The Paraid Pregnancy Test comes in a cassette-based format. The cassette contains a test strip that’s sensitive to the HCG pregnancy hormone. When you apply urine to the test strip via the enclosed dropper, it comes into contact with the hromatographic membrane of the strip.
The urine dissolves a lyophilized conjugate on the strip, creating a reaction. The HCG antigen will attach to the antibodies in the colloidal solution.
As the conjugate moves forward on the strip’s membrane, anti-HCG will attach to the antibody affixed on the test zone (“T”) and will bind the HCG-gold conjugate complex, forming a pink line (“T”). Any sample will cause a pink when the HCG concentration is high enough.
Any sample will cause a pink line to appear in the control zone (“C”). This line is formed by the binding of the polyclonal antibodies (Anti-mouse IgG) affixed onto the control zone to the sample- colloidal gold conjugate.
In other words, the presence of a pink line in the “C” section of your test means that you performed the test correctly.
If, in less than five minutes, you see a pink line at the “T” section of your test, you have been verified to have a minimum of 25 mIU/mL HCG in your urine. In most cases, such a concentration reflects a positive pregnancy test result.
Who manufacturers the Paraid Pregnancy Test?
One version of the Paraid Pregnancy Test lists the manufacturer of the product.
Also, as of the date of this publication, the FDA has no record of the Paraid (a.k.a., Para-Aid) brand name.
This test is registered with the FDA as the Egens One Step HCG Urine Pregnancy Test Kit (Cassette). View the FDA records for this product here.
The Paraid Pregnancy Test, which is officially known as the Para-Aid Pregnancy Test, has an accuracy of 99 percent from the day of your expected period.
The cut off for an accurate test result with the Paraid product is 25 mIU/mL. Below 20 mIU/mL, the test will not produce a positive result, so you cannot use this to test early for pregnancy.
