The Cut Off sensitivity rating of a pregnancy test is the HCG level at which at least 50% of users receive a positive result. That means that, at the Cut Off point, about 50% of users will receive a negative pregnancy test result.

Analytical / Clinical HCG Sensitivity
Analytical (aka, Clinical) HCG sensitivity refers to the HCG level which triggers 100% positive results for all women with that HCG concentration.

First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test Accuracy
As already noted, testing early reduces the accuracy of your result.
For example, with FRER, if you test 5 days before your expected period (6 days sooner), you can expect a 76% accuracy rate. In laboratory testing, only 76 out of 100 women who were later confirmed as pregnant received a positive result. Nearly 25% of women can expect to receive a false negative when testing early with First Response.
